Inside the cage - De Padova

Mogura by Nendo

The unique aesthetics and interesting structure are certainly something that catches my eye. It couldn’t be otherwise with Nendo’s work for De Padova. Mogura in Japanese means a mole, and the oblique light bulb creates a thread-like graphic line reminding a tunnel. Suspended from the ceiling or placed on the floor, the matt black birdcage has a lasting influence on the interior, emphasizing the nobility of materials and beauty.

For me, this lamp has elements that give a new dimension to any situation. From the most intimate to completely prosaic. Together with light that plays a significant part with its shadows and rays, gaining an artistic effect is neither a coincidence nor an illusion.
